Job summary

Laramie County Community College is seeking a part-time Career Navigator Specialist to assist Adult Education students in Cheyenne and Laramie. You will support intake, onboarding, and career planning, linking students to resources and local employers for workforce placement.

The role emphasizes helping students overcome barriers to education and employment, including transportation, childcare, financial aid, and scholarship assistance, with a focus on successful program completion.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in education, workforce development, human services, counseling, or a related field.
• One (1) year of experience working with adult learners, non-traditional students, or individuals facing barriers to education and employment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide career guidance, coaching, or case management support.
• Experience connecting individuals to community resources and/or supportive services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct student intakes, facilitate TABE testing, administer career interest assessments, and assist with goal setting with established timelines.
• Post-secondary transitions connections with local employers and assisting students as they execute their career plans aligned to their skills levels and career interests.
• Provide support and assistance to students in making appointments and completing paperwork for needed support and resources.
