Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a BSN with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Education - Identifies learning needs and participates in education programs relevant to patient population.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate outcomes.
• Implementation - Delivers care for patients with complex problems, performs bedside testing as required, follows policies and procedures.
• Leadership - Develops professional growth goals and promotes interdepartmental collaboration and cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Prioritizes care plans based on patient/family needs and discharge planning considerations.
• Planning - Documents and coordinates care plans with the patient/family and multidisciplinary team.
• Research - Stays informed on journals and applies relevant findings to practice.
