Job summary

Northeast Regional Medical Center in Missouri is seeking an Echo Technologist for a part-time 24-hour/week position. You will perform echocardiographic studies, including 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler, while ensuring patient safety and comfort and accurate image acquisition for physician interpretation.

Collaborating with the cardiology team, you will document preliminary findings in the EMR and maintain equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of echocardiography or cardiac sonography experience.
• Proficiency in 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler techniques.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment safely, adhering to infection control.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies, including 2‑D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler.
• Assure patient safety and comfort, proper positioning and monitoring.
• Acquire Stress Echo and Doppler images per benchmarks; assist with TEEs.
• Document preliminary reports and results in the EMR with confidentiality.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; ensure timely communication with cardiology.
