Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a Registered Echo Technologist to perform cardiovascular imaging and related procedures to aid diagnosis. You will conduct stress echos, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, and doppler, while maintaining patient records in the EMR system.

You will also assist with EKGs, monitor applications, and ensure HIPAA privacy and quality improvements through CQI activities. Prioritize safety and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors of Science in Vascular/Echocardiography or on the job training with allied health degree.
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), ARDMS registered or registry eligible, CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with cardiovascular procedures ordered by physicians to aid diagnosis.
• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures including stress echos, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, and cardiac doppler.
• Requests and records data in patient charts and EMR; informs physicians of critical results.
• Maintains and cleans cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Supports inventory, clerical duties, patient transport, and caller inquiries as needed.
• Participates in CQI activities and pathology meetings and supervises students.
