Job summary

Academic Technologies at Oregon State University is seeking motivated students to join the Classroom Technology Services team. This role provides hands-on experience supporting classroom AV, presentation systems, and campus events across the university.

Staff work with professional techs, perform readiness checks, and assist with upgrades and inventory while delivering excellent customer service and teamwork in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of audio/visual equipment.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and presentation software.
• Self-motivated with initiative and teamwork.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Strong oral communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, phone, and remote support for classroom audiovisual technologies.
• Troubleshoot and test classroom technology and report issues via ticketing system.
• Staff Presentation Support Desk and assist users with classroom tech.
• Conduct weekly classroom readiness inspections and inventory checks.
• Assist with events and examinations, including evenings and weekends.
• Perform end-of-term servicing, including equipment testing and documentation.
• Assist with technology installations, upgrades, and asset tracking.
