Academic Technologies at Oregon State University is seeking motivated students to join the Classroom Technology Services team. This role provides hands-on experience supporting classroom AV, presentation systems, and campus events across the university.
Staff work with professional techs, perform readiness checks, and assist with upgrades and inventory while delivering excellent customer service and teamwork in a collaborative environment.
This recruitment will be used to fill five part-time Classroom Technology Services Student Technician positions (up to 24 hours per week) with Academic Technologies at Oregon State University (OSU).
Academic Technologies at Oregon State University is seeking motivated and customer-focused student employees to join the Classroom Technology Services team. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the technology that powers teaching, learning, and campus events across the university. Student employees work alongside professional technology staff to maintain, troubleshoot, and support audiovisual systems in classrooms, labs, conference rooms, and large event venues, including Milam Auditorium.
This role offers meaningful professional development in technology support, customer service, project coordination, inventory management, event operations, and technical troubleshooting. Student employees participate in classroom readiness checks, technology upgrades, end-of-term room servicing, inventory audits, technology testing, and collection of operational metrics that help improve the student and instructor experience. Employees gain valuable experience with audiovisual systems, computers, presentation technologies, and enterprise support tools while contributing to the success of academic instruction and university events. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills, a positive customer-service attitude, and a desire to learn in a collaborative team environment.

The Undergraduate Student Information Technology Worker performs a variety of tasks related to computing operations, user support and installation, or programming and analysis.
Successful candidates should possess working knowledge of audiovisual equipment, computers, and presentation software; demonstrate strong oral communication skills; be self-motivated and able to take initiative; work effectively in a team environment; and maintain a positive customer-service attitude.
