Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Part-Time Campus Store Team Member to help deliver an exceptional retail experience on campus. You will greet customers, assist with course materials, process transactions, and keep the sales floor organized and welcoming.

This role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, and strong communication and teamwork skills help you succeed in a fast-paced campus store

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, convenience items, and other merchandise that best meets their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising, replenishment, recovery, and housekeeping.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other operational tasks to keep the store customer-ready.
• Develop product knowledge by staying informed about merchandise, promotions, store services, and course materials to confidently assist customers.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to accomplish daily priorities while adapting to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
