Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a part-time Dispatcher/Telecommunicator (CMT) to join the Central Monitoring team. You will handle 15-45 dispatch calls daily, monitor 1000+ cameras, and coordinate emergency and non-emergency services across residential facilities and the campus.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to security systems, and effective communication. The position offers a 2nd shift schedule, potential extension to 3rd shift, and benefits including retirement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with security alarm systems and surveillance equipment.
• APCO Telecommunicator I, APCO Law Enforcement Dispatch, APCO Medical Dispatch training preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IBM platforms.
• Experience with a Total Quality Management System a plus.
• Strong customer service and telephone dispatching skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and coordinate incoming calls and service requests.
• Monitor fire, mechanical, and security alarms.
• Dispatch Campus Safety Officers and Service Technicians.
• Operate as the central hub for phone and 2-way radio communications.
• Respond during school closures and emergencies.
