Job summary

Mercer University Douglas County Regional Academic Center (RAC) is seeking student workers for a part‑time, work‑study eligible position as a Student Ambassador. The role involves staffing the front desk, answering calls, greeting visitors and assisting with campus events.

Eligible students must be enrolled and eligible for Federal Work Study. Work weeks may include mornings, middays and evenings, roughly 25 scheduled hours per week with a pay rate of $12.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at Mercer University and eligible for Federal Work Study.
• Fall and Spring only; Summer session not required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Staff the front desk of the Mercer University Douglas County RAC.
• Answer phones and route calls.
• Greet and provide information to prospective students, students, faculty, staff and visitors.
• Provide support by making copies, faxing, typing.
• Light labor and moderate walking to rearrange classrooms for events.
• Follow shift checklist for Morning, Midday and Evening shifts.
• Participate in campus events such as registrations, orientations and open houses.
