Job summary

Mercer University in Atlanta seeks a Temporary Front Desk Receptionist- Mornings to handle front-office tasks for the Mercer Physical Therapy clinic. You will greet patients, sign in/out, answer phones, collect payments, and keep the front area tidy.

The role supports HIPAA compliance and daily clinic operations under supervision of the Clinic Director. Eligible students are Federally funded Work Study recipients; the shift runs 8:30–12:30, 20 hours weekly, from 02/16/2026 to 05/14/2027.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Strong customer service skills and organizational/multitasking abilities.
• Computer literate: Excel, Microsoft Office, internet.
• Experience operating printers/scanners/copiers/fax and loading data into EMR.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign in/out patients; manage front desk workflow.
• Answer clinic phones and process payments.
• Maintain front office cleanliness and stock treatment areas.
• Assist in equipment cleaning and laundry organization daily.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance as needed.
