Job summary

Mount Evans is seeking an Operations Coordinator for Camp Comfort in Evergreen, CO. This part-time, less than 20 hours per week role supports day camp operations, vendor relations, logistics, scheduling, and budget management in a hybrid work setting.

The position collaborates with the Camp Director and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure smooth program delivery, staff coordination, and family communications, with a focus on safety and bereavement support for children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of event coordination and planning experience preferred.
• Two years of experience working with children required.
• Knowledge or experience in children’s bereavement and grief work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates on program planning, scheduling, and logistics.
• Co-manages inventory and purchases within budget.
• Secures materials and volunteer support for activities.
• Staffs specialized volunteer roles for sessions and events.
• Monitors expenses and coordinates with accounting and philanthropy teams.
• Negotiates contracts for venues, transportation, and services.
• Prepares and leads camp activities aligned with goals.
• Develops behavior support plans with families and Camp Director.
• Supports camper behaviors and wellbeing on campus.
• Evaluates programs and gathers feedback for improvement.
