Job summary

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD FOOD SERVICES is seeking a 4-hour Line Server in San Juan, TX. Immediate starting date; reports to Cafeteria Manager in the Child Nutrition department.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, maintaining safety and sanitation, and assisting with daily kitchen operations. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (English) with preferred status and strong understanding of food prep and safety instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (English) preferred / required.
• Ability to understand food preparation and safety instructions.
• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food according to a planned menu of tested, uniform recipes.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, departmental policies, and procedures.
• Practice and promote portion control and proper use of leftovers.
• Supervise storage and handling of food items and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
• Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety standards.
• Follow established procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety.
• Keep garbage collection containers and areas neat and sanitary.
• Demonstrates good attendance and punctuality.
