Shalby Advanced Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Assistant Buyer to support our Manufacturing Support team in El Dorado Hills, CA.

The role focuses on keeping purchase orders organized, following up with suppliers, and ensuring purchasing documents move through approvals efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, able to work with vendors and internal teams, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in purchasing/buyer or similar role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiar with an MRP system.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders for MRO, supply chain, and other needs.
• Route POs for approvals and signatures.
• Track open POs from creation through delivery.
• Follow up with suppliers on status and lead times.
• Update delivery dates and communicate changes.
• Maintain purchasing, supplier, and delivery tracking spreadsheets.
• Maintain supplier/vendor documentation and forms.
