Job description

We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Buyer's Assistant to support our merchant team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Retail experience in apparel or accessories is a plus!

Duties

• Provide operational support to the buyer and planner
• Provide basic analysis of business data and reporting including merchandise reports, stock analysis, vendor sales and margin
• Enter and manage purchase orders and customer special orders
• Track and maintain on order reports and communicate with vendors accordingly
• Initiate, execute and follow up on RTV's
• Support buyer in preparation and scheduling of vendor appointments
• Collaborate with accounts payable to rectify any discrepancies in pricing and terms on invoices

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for effective inventory management
• Strong analytical skills to assess data related trends
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
• Previous experience in merchandising or related field
