Job summary

YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is seeking an on-site Building Supervisor for the Deaconess Aquatic Center. The role coordinates safe facility operations, supports staff, responds to member concerns, and helps lead emergency responses to maintain a welcoming environment for swimmers, families, teams, and spectators.

The position requires at least two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts per month, with early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours possible.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Demonstrated judgment, conflict resolution, and clear communication skills.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required before serving independently as building supervisor.
• Complete abuse risk management training and training on child abuse prevention.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site building supervisor during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate safe facility operations and supervise staff.
• Respond to member and guest concerns and escalate as needed.
• Lead emergency responses with guidance from supervisors.
• Enforce guest policies, supervise youth, and assist with check-in and tours.
