Job summary

UCSD Department of Psychiatry is seeking a part-time research assistant to support studies on brain, addiction, and development. Under supervision, you will assist with data collection, administering behavioral and neurocognitive measures, collecting biological specimens, and aiding with neuroimaging data acquisition.

Responsibilities include recruitment, obtaining consent, entering and verifying data, scheduling visits, and general lab support.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with lab experience or coursework in psychology or related field.
Experience in a research lab and handling confidential information.
Strong organization, data entry, and computer skills.
Ability to work independently and follow guidance when needed.
Experience with administering neurocognitive and behavioral assessments.
Experience with REDCap and clinical populations.

Responsibilities

Assist PIs on studies investigating brain, addiction, and development.
Data collection and administration of behavioral and neurocognitive measures.
Collect saliva, urine, and hair samples; assist with neuroimaging data acquisition.
Recruit participants; obtain informed assent/consent; schedule visits.
Enter and verify study data; prepare data collection forms and correspondence.
Maintain equipment and supplies; assist with other lab tasks.
