The Waltham Public Schools District-Wide is hiring an ESL District Tester to support PreK-8 language placement. The role administers WIDA screenings, coordinates SLIFE and biliteracy assessments, and ensures compliant, timely placements under the Office of Language Acquisition.

The position emphasizes equity, family engagement, and data confidentiality, with training provided on DESE tools and SLIFE frameworks; part-time hours up to 15 per week, in a district office setting in Waltham, MA.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as an authoritative, district-wide resource regarding multilingual programs and services.
• Administer WIDA English language proficiency screenings for eligible students (PreK–8), SLIFE identification tools and biliteracy assessments for Dual Language programs.
• Evaluate Home Language Surveys and coordinate assessment schedules with families promptly.
• Analyze WIDA assessment outcomes to guide placement recommendations in consultation with leadership.
• Promote equity and cultural responsiveness by liaison support and advocacy for families during registration, screening, and placement.
• Perform related duties and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
