Job summary

Chinese Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Part-Time, Non Exempt Patient Account Clerk to support daily patient registration and revenue cycle tasks. You will be responsible for accurate data capture, timely billing, and AR collections, with a backup role to the cashier during busy periods.

In this position you will interact with patients to verify demographics and insurance details, collect deposits and deductibles, input data into EMR and billing systems, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Insurance Benefits and reimbursement requirements.
• Experience with hospital accounts receivable and billing processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients with complete demographic and financial information.
• Input information into computer systems accurately and timely.
• Collect self-pay deposits, co-insurance and/or deductibles at registration.
• Ensure reimbursement requirements are met prior to finalizing registration.
• Receipting monies collected and completing patient accounts.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries.
• Provide courteous guest relations and maintain professionalism.
• Participate in team and department meetings and training.
