Job summary

Bluebikes is seeking part-time Field Service Technicians for our Boston bikeshare system. The role involves maintaining station terminals and components, traveling to check docking stations and perform maintenance. The technicians will work Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, with schedules potentially subject to change as per business needs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in technical troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Comfortable driving, stopping, and working in busy urban environments.
• Able to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance and test functionality of station components.
• Demonstrate expertise in technical aspects of hardware and software.
• Operate a motor vehicle and ride a bicycle throughout the urban environment.

Skills

Technical aptitude for electronics and mechanical systems

Safety-minded and experienced with hand and power tools

Technology-proficient using smartphone apps

Valid driver’s license

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
