Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher for grades 6-12 who brings in-depth Bible knowledge and engaging classroom skills. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and a caring, committed approach aligned with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

You will complete training, teach LifeWise classes using the official curriculum, maintain records, and collaborate with staff, volunteers and families to support student growth and spiritual development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• Active participation in local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Commitment to LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters, including health concerns and photo permissions.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitutes when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and promote a positive learning environment.
• Communicate with program director, school personnel, and volunteers about schedules and student well-being.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions with the community
