Job summary
Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a satellite residential setting in Webster, MA.
The position focuses on assisting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities toward greater independence, with an emphasis on daily living activities, community engagement, and adherence to care plans. The role requires weekend availability (Sat 4p-10p), part-time 6 hours, and offers a $17.50–$19.00 hourly rate with paid training and a $1,000 sign-on
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak).
Responsibilities
- Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Assist with daily living tasks: household chores, meals, shopping, personal care.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and community activities.
- Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans as required.
