Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a behaviorally focused residential setting in Massachusetts. This part-time position offers 23 hours per week with a pay rate of $17.50–$19.00 per hour and a sign-on bonus of $500 for part-time staff.

New employee orientation and training are provided. The DSP will assist adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, help with daily living activities, transportation, and community participation, and

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate in the community and daily life.
• Willingness to work in a behavioral residential home setting with behavioral individuals.
• Proven record of dependable, responsible behavior from work, volunteer, or school.
• Able to work as a creative, engaged, and dedicated team member.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual/developmental disabilities to maximize independence.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, dressing, and personal care as needed.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments and community activities; follow plans/goals.
• Monitor safety, follow Behavior Support Plans and MAP training as required.
• Participate in trainings and maintain required certifications.
