Job summary

First Children Services is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) in Plainfield, NJ to provide direct behavioral support under supervision. The role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, helping clients develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment across settings.

Employees may work in schools, preschools, clinics, homes, and community environments.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group support to clients within the assigned service area.
• Follow individualized treatment plans and clinical programming developed by the treatment team.
• Collect accurate session data and complete required documentation within established timelines.
• Support the development of communication, social, behavioral, and adaptive skills.
• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Work collaboratively with families, supervisors, and other members of the treatment team.
• Promote positive behavioral outcomes and consistent implementation of treatment goals.
• Complete assigned administrative and program-support activities when direct service hours are not available.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive environment for clients and families.
• Follow organizational policies, procedures, and applicable standards.
