Job summary

Boston Public Schools King Elementary in Boston, MA seeks a part-time Before-School Program Coordinator to support a 7:30–8:30 am program serving PreK–6. You will manage staff scheduling, enrollment, communications, and daily operations to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.

The role reports to the Principal/Head of School and involves collaboration with families and staff, including on-site classroom support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current authorization to work in the United States on first day of employment.
• Experience in a school, early childhood, afterschool, or youth-serving setting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work with school staff, families, and afterschool facilitators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff schedules and arrange coverage for program operations.
• Coordinate student enrollment, maintain waitlists, support registration and fee collection.
• Maintain program calendar and communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and families.
• Maintain enrollment, attendance, and other program records as required.
• Coordinate ordering and organization of program materials and supplies.
• Serve as primary contact for routine communications with families and collaborate with Family Liaison.
• Support the Principal/Head of School with administrative tasks for the program.
• Push into the classroom as needed to support or relieve before-school class facilitators.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
