Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a part-time Pre-K Afterschool Program Coordinator for the Frederick Elementary School in Boston, MA. The position supports a fee-based program serving 16–20 children with a small staff.

You will handle staff scheduling, enrollment, communication, and general administrative tasks, coordinating with the Principal and Family Liaison to keep families informed and engaged. Work is approximately 17 hours per week during the school year, with some meetings and training;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. work authorization by start date.
• Experience in schools, afterschool, or youth programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff schedules and coverage for operations.
• Manage enrollment, waitlists, and fee collection.
• Maintain program calendar and communicate updates.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records.
• Coordinate materials and supplies.
• Serve as primary contact for families regarding enrollment and calendar.
• Support principal with administrative tasks.
