Job summary

Beacon Grand in San Francisco's Union Square is seeking a Part-Time Bartender to join the Starlite lounge. The Bartender will craft classic and signature cocktails, delivering the Starlite Standard with precision, hospitality, and performance in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in upscale venues, deep cocktail and wine knowledge, and a calm, charismatic presence. Must hold Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications, be fluent in English, and be available late nights,

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, upscale cocktail lounge or luxury hotel environment.
• Deep knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine service.
• Mandatory Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications (LEAD/TIPS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a curated menu of classic and signature cocktails with exactness, focusing on technique and garnishing.
• Curate a sophisticated bar-side experience; engage guests with charm and expert recommendations.
• Maintain an immaculate bar and mise en place for high-volume surges.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of spirits, infusions, and glassware; ensure consistency across drinks.
• Coordinate with servers and floor staff to keep bar stocked and organized.
• Handle cash and transactions; perform opening/closing, inventory, and deep-cleaning tasks.
