Job summary

CMC Hotels is seeking energetic bartenders for the Courtyard by Marriott in Cary, NC. The role focuses on delivering timely, friendly service and high-quality beverages to guests in a fast-paced hotel bar setting.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the bar, preparing drinks, maintaining the bar and stock, and ensuring guest satisfaction while reflecting Marriott standards and property knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or training required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Be self motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
• Knowledge of the Micros operating system a plus.
• Have working knowledge of beer, wine & liquor and common drink recipes.
• Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary, up to 40lbs.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Clean background check, and reliable transportation a must.
• Must possess excellent guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Open & close bar.
• Make and serve drinks.
• Cleaning of tables and bar area.
• Maintain storage room where alcohol is kept and keep inventory levels.
• Restock items when necessary.
• Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar & bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Display knowledge of all menu items, contents and preparation methods.
• Be knowledgeable of hotel property and amenities.
