Job summary

The Courtyard by Marriott Parkside Cary is seeking a courteous Food & Beverage Server to take orders, set up, and deliver meals with precision and hospitality. You will maintain cleanliness, follow hotel standards, and support guests from greeting to post-service satisfaction.

Responsibilities include handling phone and in-person orders, learning menus, completing pre- and post-function tasks, and cooperating with the team to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read & write in English.
• Ability to communicate with customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to carry objects on a tray without breaking or spilling.
• Ability to follow directions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Take phone or in-person orders following hotel standards.
• Know basic menus, ingredients, and main cooking methods to answer inquiries.
• Set up trays and tables with condiments and service needs.
• Serve food and beverages maintaining correct temperature per standards.
• Be attentive to guest needs from start to finish of service.
• Demonstrate courteous communication with guests and team members.
• Set up rooms for meetings/banquets/dining.
• Complete pre- and post-function tasks and proper storage of equipment.
• Work flexible schedules and report any maintenance needs.
