Churchill Downs Incorporated, a premier entertainment company, is seeking a part-time Bartender at Owensboro Racing & Gaming in Owensboro, KY. You will prepare and serve beverages, ensure guest satisfaction, and comply with state alcohol laws and gaming regulations.

This role requires high school diploma preferred, at least 1 year of bartending experience, ability to obtain Kentucky gaming license, and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Bartender or in a similar role.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Provide prompt, engaging, and exceptional customer service to guests.
• Set up and maintain the bar area with supplies and cleanliness.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar, equipment and storage areas.
• Operate bar equipment safely (blenders, taps, ice machines).
• Handle, store and rotate beverage stock to ensure freshness and quality.
• Process transactions through the point-of-sale system accurately.
• Verify guest IDs to confirm legal drinking age.
• Report incidents, spills, or equipment issues to management.
• Assist with inventory and restocking as needed.
• Follow health, safety, and gaming facility policies.
• Assist in training new bar staff and provide guidance.
• Perform other duties and be available for weekends, holidays, and nights.
