Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Owensboro, Kentucky, is seeking a part-time Bartender to deliver prompt, friendly service on the gaming floor. Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Kentucky gaming and alcohol service requirements is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy gaming environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Provide prompt, engaging, and courteous guest service.
• Keep bar well-stocked, clean, and organized; manage inventory as needed.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and enforce responsible-service policies.
• Operate bar equipment safely and efficiently (blenders, taps, ice machines).
• Process payments accurately through the POS system and verify IDs.
• Maintain health and safety, sanitation, and gaming regulations at all times.
• Assist in training new bar staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Report incidents or equipment issues to management.
