Job summary

Hilton Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant to welcome guests, prepare specialty coffee drinks, and promote merchandise in the gift shop. You will support a welcoming atmosphere and contribute to sales while upholding service standards.

You’ll follow established recipes, operate coffee shop equipment safely, and maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory in the cafe according to SOPs. Previous café or retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of related café or barista experience preferred.
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information about available food, beverages, merchandise, and hotel amenities.
• Prepare specialty coffee drinks following established recipes and operate coffee shop equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors, according to SOPs.
• Restock and refresh merchandise and food displays to ensure an inviting presentation.
• Open and close the coffee shop on time, following proper setup and closing procedures.
• Process all sales through the Micros system, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to accounting procedures.
