Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant for Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites in Indianapolis, IN. You will greet guests, prepare specialty coffee drinks, maintain a clean shop, and assist with merchandising and inventory.

Responsibilities include cash handling via Micros, opening/closing duties, and providing excellent guest service in a fast-paced café environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–6 months café/barista experience preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specialty coffee drinks following established recipes and operate coffee shop equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors, according to SOPs.
• Restock and refresh merchandise and food displays to ensure an inviting presentation.
• Open and close the coffee shop on time, following proper setup and closing procedures.
• Process all sales through the Micros system, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to accounting procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels, communicate restocking needs, and assist management with ordering.
• Secure all cash and deposits per hotel and company policies.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role plays a key part in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, driving sales, and upholding operational standards.
