Job summary

RMD Group is seeking a dependable Barback in San Diego to support bartenders, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, organized bar. This part-time role offers hourly pay and tip eligibility, ideal for team players contributing to a seamless guest experience.

The Barback will assist with glassware, ice, trash, and general bar upkeep while ensuring service runs smoothly during peak hours. Prior barback or restaurant support experience is preferred, along with a valid Food Handler Card and RBS

Qualifications

• 1+ year of barback or restaurant support experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of fast-paced restaurant operations.
• Ability to lift, move quickly, and multitask efficiently.
• Valid Food Handler Card and RBS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders by stocking, prepping, and maintaining bar supplies.
• Keep bar and service areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist with glassware, ice, trash, and overall bar upkeep.
• Run food and support service staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and bar areas, including table clearing and resetting.
• Anticipate team needs to keep service flowing smoothly during high-volume periods.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
