Job summary

AmeriServ Bank in Johnstown is seeking a Customer Ambassador who will advise, open and service deposit accounts and process transactions under supervision, focusing on building trusted relationships with new and existing customers.

With strong product knowledge and a customer-first approach, you will handle in-person and phone interactions, support teller duties, and help customers achieve their financial goals through personalised service and cross-selling.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to advise customers and upsell products.
• Familiarity with banking operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to recommend products and services to meet customer financial goals.
• Support sales initiatives and participate in promotions.
• Open and service deposit accounts; assist with loan production as needed.
• Assist teller duties and follow bank policies.
• Rotate branch duties after training to cover all operations.
• Build effective working relationships within a team.
• Develop skills through training and feedback to maintain service quality.
• Mentor junior Retail Sales Associates.
• Perform other clerical duties related to the job description.
