Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a versatile Teller/Personal Banker to support customers and team members at the branch level. You will open and service accounts, balance cash, and conduct transactions with accuracy.

You will proactively explore customer needs, educate on products, and help grow relationships while providing exceptional service and maintaining knowledge of current promotions. This role includes supporting multiple branches when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and training.
• 1+ year of customer service experience required; cash handling or sales experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication as well as teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Teller and Personal Banker to support customer and team needs.
• Open new accounts and service existing ones.
• Proactively educate and upsell products to meet customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of banking products and promotions to assist clients.
• Balance cash and conduct accurate transactions; research discrepancies as needed.
• Provide backup support to other branches and employees.
• Deliver ethical sales behaviors aligned with company values.
• Onboard new clients and contribute to branch growth.
