Job summary

First State Bank and Trust in Monticello, IL is looking for a daytime, part-time Teller to support Drive‑Up and Lobby lines. Shifts include 9:00 to 2:00 on Monday and Friday, and 10:00 to 3:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The role emphasizes accurate processing of customer transactions and building customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be available to work the shifts listed above.
• Previous banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine transactions: cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments.
• Count, verify, and handle large volumes of cash with accuracy and balance procedures.
• Greet customers and provide professional, empathetic service; address inquiries and resolve concerns.
• Educate customers about bank products and cross-sell where appropriate.
• Safeguard customers' personal information and maintain confidentiality.
• Represent the bank with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Remain alert to potential fraud and take necessary precautions.
