Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services Inc. in Seattle–Tacoma International seeks a Baggage Handling Agent to load and unload luggage, operate baggage handling equipment, and sort baggage to correct flights in a fast-paced airport setting.

Candidates should be at least 18, legally eligible to work in the U.S., able to pass background checks and drug screen, and comfortable with shift work including nights and weekends; prior customer service is preferred and English literacy is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, etc.).
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload passenger luggage and cargo on and off aircraft.
• Operate baggage handling equipment such as conveyor belts, carts, and trolleys.
• Sort and route baggage to the correct flight and baggage claim carousel.
• Ensure timely delivery of baggage to and from aircraft.
• Inspect baggage for damage or potential security risks and report discrepancies.
• Follow all safety procedures and airport security protocols while handling baggage.
• Work closely with ground crew and airline personnel to ensure efficient baggage processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in baggage handling areas.
• Coordinate with security personnel to ensure adherence to airport security measures.
• Participate in training sessions on baggage handling procedures and equipment operation.
