Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate PT for our NY branch at 36 Sawgrass Dr, Bellport, NY 11713. You will engage with customers, promote inventory management solutions, and drive branch goals through a consultative sales approach.

You'll develop new partnerships and nurture existing relationships, supporting B2B sales and customer service while balancing part-time scheduling of up to 28 hours per week. The role emphasizes teamwork and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet driving record requirements.
• Pursuing a business or related degree or have customer service experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate sales aptitude and customer-service orientation.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and up to 75 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities.
• Providing value through a consultative sales approach.
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs.
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites.
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
