Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Adjunct Instructor to lead courses in General, Airframe and Powerplant topics. You will align FAA requirements with engaging, FAA-compliant delivery across in-person, online and lab settings.

The position is part-time, located at the new Aviation Academy Campus at the Paulding County Airport, with potential night-class hours and supervision by the Aviation Program Director.

Qualifications

  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Experience as an aviation maintenance technician preferred.
  • Associate degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
  • Teaching in Aviation Maintenance preferred.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct all aspects of instruction in the Aviation Maintenance programs (General, Airframe, Powerplant).
  • Comply with FAA regulations in all program aspects and continuance activities.
  • Assist in teaching all courses in the Aviation Maintenance curriculum.
  • Oversee safety compliance including lab and hangar practices per EPA and OSHA standards.
  • Develop and implement FAA-compliant instructional delivery for face-to-face, online and lab settings.
  • This part-time role is on our NEW Aviation Academy Campus at the Paulding County Airport.
  • This role may require work hours aligned with night classes.
