Job summary

Atlanta Technical College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor (Aviation) in the Academic and Student Affairs division, Industrial & Transportation Technologies department. The instructor will deliver professional instruction aligned with approved syllabi, develop curriculum materials, and ensure outcomes meet program objectives on ATC's main campus south of downtown Atlanta.

Responsibilities include applying FAA Part 147 procedures, using effective teaching methods, maintaining

Qualifications

  • Must possess and demonstrate an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university AND one (1) or more years of related work experience in an educational setting or a business setting.
  • Must also be A & P certified and with three (3) years of experience as an A & P mechanic.
  • Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional instruction to students in accordance with an approved course syllabus.
  • Prepare curriculum materials and syllabi for assigned coursework.
  • Adhere to FAA regulations governing Part 147 schools.
  • Engage groups of students with appropriate teaching techniques.
  • Apply testing and grading procedures and maintain grade books and records.
  • Advise and counsels students and maintain advisement records.
  • Attend meetings and participate on committees as required.
  • Maintain professional qualifications and comply with institutional policies.
