Part-Time Associate

The Part-Time Associate is the key to our success!

Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves fully stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a store section as assigned, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure proper pricing, check product date codes for rotation, stock shelves, displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases. May prepare perishable products for sale.
• Set up advertising and promotional displays. Review invoices and bills for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by management.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, make change, and process check, charge, or debit transactions. Process refunds when approved.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, record lost or damaged goods, and store supplies using appropriate tools.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Ability to understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos, and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but straightforward instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.
