Qualifications

• State of Georgia Teaching Certificate T-4 to T-7.
• Experience coaching or playing the sport; equipment inventory and scheduling preferred.
• Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision; strong time management and teamwork.
• Emphasis on safety, training best practices and injury prevention; strong interpersonal skills.
• Supervision duties for athletes, equipment and staff with accountability.
• Frequent travel for off-site competition/training locations.
• Variable work environment: outdoors majority of time with possible lifting.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and coaches K-12 students on fundamentals of sports.
• Sets rules, policies and regulations with coaching staff.
• Oversees or assists registration of athletes.
• Oversees or assists in issuing equipment.
• Oversees or assists coordinating try-outs.
• Oversees or assists supervising practice schedules.
• Oversees or assists supervision of athletes and teams.
• Guides student athletes to participate at appropriate levels.
• Coordinates with staff to create opportunities and monitor impact.
• Participates with partners to monitor healthy lifestyles.
• All other duties as assigned.
