Qualifications

• To qualify as an athletic coach, applicants must meet either: (1) Certified employee in a teaching/administrative role or (2) Certified paraprofessional with GHSA coaching courses and Head Coaching Class, plus compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and coaches K-12 students on fundamentals of sports.
• Sets rules, policies, and regulations with coaching staff.
• Oversees or assists in athlete registration and equipment issuance.
• Coordinates and monitors try-outs, practices, and supervision of athletes and teams.
• Encourages student athletes to pursue sport participation appropriate to ability.
• Collaborates with staff and partners to monitor impact on healthy lifestyles.
• Performs all other duties to support delivery of sports programs.
