Job summary

Early Learning Company, based in Michigan, is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the classroom under the Lead Teacher. The role focuses on implementing the curriculum, maintaining a safe, nurturing environment, and engaging with children through structured activities and positive guidance.

Schedule is 3PM–6PM, Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for assistant teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the classroom curriculum, adapting to meet needs.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore and learn.
• Support development through structured activities, play, and guidance.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to maintain routines and parent communication.
• Monitor and report children's progress to the Lead Teacher.
• Participate in professional development to enhance classroom effectiveness.
• Follow health and safety protocols to keep a clean, secure space.
• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Uphold company standards and comply with state licensing requirements.
