Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support infants through PreK in a Durham, NC area center. Part-time hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:45am to 5:45pm. You can learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost.

You will assist with hands-on activities, communicate with families about milestones, keep the classroom safe and clean, and cover across centers as needed. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Pass required state and company background checks.
• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; CDA/Associate/Bachelor’s preferred.
• 1 year of childcare or preschool experience preferred.
• 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities for children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe, clean classroom by following procedures.
• Provide coverage across centers or nearby locations when needed.
