Job summary

Bright Horizons is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers and preschoolers in Apex, NC. This part-time role offers responsibility for hands-on activities, daily communications with parents, and maintaining a safe classroom.

State and company background checks apply, with opportunities for CDA or college degree advancement. You will work in person in a Bright Horizons early education center, lifting and assisting in activities as needed, with a schedule Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• Background checks required by state and company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group as needed across the center.

Education

High school diploma or GED

CDA / Associate / Bachelor’s in early education or related field
