Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Livingston, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You’ll help with daily tasks, merchandising, opening/closing, and training store associates, while keeping areas neat and safe for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store activity communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
