Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in San Carlos for hands-on store operations, customer service, and team development. You will guide daily activities, organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor, and ensure clean, well-stocked areas.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and maintaining a safe, friendly shopping environment. The position requires strong communication skills, retail management experience, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically active tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; participate in loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, keep areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
