Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in San Carlos, CA. This role supports store operations, customer service, and team development, handling merch transfers, opening/closing, and payroll-related tasks.

You will help maintain displays, stockrooms, and store cleanliness while ensuring safety and policy adherence. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and store-management experience in retail or grocery environments, with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
Protect company assets, including store cash, and ensure policy adherence.
