Job summary

Dollar Tree in Englewood, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, enhance customer service, and develop a high-performing team. You will assist with opening/closing, organize merchandise, train Store Associates, and ensure compliance with store policies.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time position with wage from $13.50 to $14 per hour; benefits include Employee Assistance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
